I am a little more up-to-date with my blog this time - and there is exciting news! I am going to have my first solo exhibition next month. It will take place at Carbis Bay Combined Methodist Church, St Ives Road, Carbis Bay TR26 2SF. I will have a Private Viewing for invited guests on Friday, 8th November and the exhibition will be open to the public on SATURDAY, 9TH NOVEMBER from 10 am to 5pm. Come and see all the lovely things I have produced since starting on my art journey.
Miserable Sunday today but I have just a few minutes ago sold another piece of my artwork which is always such a pleasure. At the same time we have our daughter here with her two dogs and we have had a couple of super days. We even managed to go swimming in the sea off "our" beach on Friday, had a windy but beautiful parkrun on parkrun's 20th anniversary at Lands End and enjoyed Afternoon Tea at Mullion.
I have recorded my latest PB at Heartlands at the end of last month and I am finally organising a charity day for the Cornwall Air Ambulance on Sunday, 13th October at St Ives Tennis Club. This event has been postponed from early season due to weather, lack of entries etc. This time we are going to have our first ever Pickleball Tournament and it is proving very popular. I have only played once, straight after tennis, so I have to rely on other club members who know more about organising pickleball. I am not even sure if I will be able to enter as too many other people seem very keen. We will see - I think, I still prefer proper tennis!
As we speak one of my artworks is on display at the Hayle Art Festival. My piece is part of an exhibition at the Passmore Edwards Centre in Hayle.
Preparations for my own exhibition are in full swing. If you can, please come and see me on 9th November. Entry will be free and all are welcome.
