So things are starting to look up! A little bit of normality has returned. This will be the last blog post before my website gets a major make-over. I now have a logo (oh yes!) and many more driftwood items to sell. The winter has been quite a productive time for me - still not much further with book number 3 but the art is definitely taking off!
Since my last post I have been elected as Social Secretary of St Ives Tennis Club and been part of a pretty successful winter league mixed tennis team there. We have not finished all our matches yet but we are doing well. Unfortunately, we are struggling to get any league tables out of the league organisers so we don't know exactly where we are but we must be near the top somewhere.
I am really hoping to be able to get going on social events this year. Covid is, of course, still with us but I have fixed my first regular "social" today - the return of "Stammtisch", a German-speaking group meeting I have been organising in the past. I have also sent an email out to enquire about the first St Ives Tennis Club social event. We are hoping to have an evening at Country Skittles.
I am looking forward to my updated website but my webmaster is a busy man and my work has to wait until he has time. February is a short month but perhaps this is the start of something "more like it" as far as our daily lives are concerned.
